Pressure Point, Brighton + The Cavern, Exeter

10/11 Feb, 2008

jim-exeter.jpgLoooong drive from ’stol to ‘ghton but jump jive got us there in good heart. New mic still playing up. Or was that the battery? Or the pedal? Or the leads? But enough speculation and technicalisation, an evening jaunt through the labyrinthine Lanes took us past a shining Komedia and into Carluccios. Long meal meant we missed both support acts (sorry guys).

clive-exeter.jpgBut back to Carluccios. Wow. ABSOLUTELY GO THERE. One of the very best first mouthfuls ever. The rest of the meal was pretty darned good too. We will happily do another gig in Brighton for that meal alone. And the lovely people, buildings and general vibe of Brighton will be a superb bonus. Especially old acquaintances not forgot (Hi Zoe. Hi Matt.) Sadly the lovely people of Brighton didn’t come to our gig. We enjoyed it and the few that were there seemed to enjoy it too but… Next time?

pete-exeter.jpgLoooonger way to Exeter. But a much more rewarding ekshperience. Early Tom Waits and the collected James Bond 007 Theme Tunes must have inspired us and we had a great gig. Great venue, lovely people, good support (especially My First Teeth) and a great young audience. You made an old band very happy.
