Touring for us is a meticulously planned, smoothly operated, well-oiled machine.
Limo picks us up, chauffeur provides sunglasses. All luggage, instrument and other gear packed, transported, unpacked, set up by others. Arrive on airport tarmac, easy stroll into business class section of posh plane. Limo collects us at the destination airport, takes us to hotel (penthouse suite). Promoter wines and dines us in swanky restaurant. We sleep like babies in enormous beds with beautiful men/women (delete as applicable) who think we are gods. Wake refreshed. Breakfast in bed. Sauna, massage, pampering. Taken to gig (soundcheck performed by instrument technicians). Rock out. Go home.
